BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

Simple - Each participating blog hosts a giveaway and then we link up together allowing our followers and blog readers to hop easily from one giveaway to another. For blog readers this means lots of chances to win. For blogs hosting a giveaway it means lots of new visitors.

This is one of my most favorite shifter series. Handeland has managed to link a period of history to shifters that so makes you consider the possibility "what if?" She will treat you to some of the most awesome romantic suspense out there. If you've not read this series, now's the time and if you have, a re-read is always a treat.

Your choice of the following.

Under the midnight moon, dark secrets are revealed—Cassandra thought she had the perfect life until she suffered a devastating tragedy. Now she has a new identity as Priestess Cassandra, owner of a New Orleans voodoo shop, and a new purpose. A research trip for a paranormal secret society leads Cassandra to Haiti, where rumors fly of a sinister voodoo master, Jacques Mezareau, who can resurrect the dead. Fortune hunter Devon Murphy agrees to guide Cassandra there safely, but his sensual appeal promises danger of a different kind…
and desperate hungers must be satisfied…
As Cassandra and Devon make their way to the eerie jungle village, their attraction explodes into an intoxicating desire, and Cassandra begins to question her resolve to never let another man into her life. Her attempts to resist Devon become more and more impossible. But when she succeeds in learning Jacques's macabre ritual, her new powers may have come with a terrifying price. Now, haunted by violent dreams that grow more vivid as the midnight moon approaches, Cassandra must uncover the shocking truth about an ancient curse before it leads her to destroy herself—and everyone she loves…

He's got a secret...
Claire Kennedy left Lake Bluff, Georgia, for the bright lights of Atlanta and a promising career in journalism. Now, recovering from a cruel betrayal, she's back in the one place she always felt safe, starting over as Lake Bluff's new mayor. But then trouble comes to town in the form of Malachi Cartwright, a man whose past is as mysterious as his present—a man who awakens something dangerous in sensible, realistic Claire.
That leaves her hungry for more
When a tourist claims to have been mauled by a vicious wolf, and when the attacks turn deadly, Malachi's strange behavior rouses Claire's suspicions. Could he have a secret agenda and a sinister reason for coming to Lake Bluff? Malachi is the only man who could tempt Claire to succumb to her desires—but he's the last person she can trust. And as an eclipse approaches, the secrets of the hidden moon will come to light, and a deadly enemy will be revealed at last…

Practical, skeptical Grace McDaniel was not looking for romance. The Sheriff of Lake Bluff, Georgia, and the granddaughter of a Cherokee doctor, Grace's hands are full with the daily trouble of small-town life. Arriving in the wake of a freak storm is Ian Walker, a mysterious stranger who blends modern medicine and traditional Native American cures. Even though she is wary of his ideas, Grace cannot resist what his touch awakens in her. But Ian is hiding a terrifying secret. And only he knows the truth about a creature stalking the citizens of Lake Bluff. A creature who preys on the dying…and then on the young, the living, the vibrant…Now, to save her people, Grace must put her faith in Ian's haunting power and succumb to her wildest passions—before the rumble of thunder fills the air, and a relentless evil strikes again…

I wanted to answer this question too as Fall is one of my favorite seasons. As much as I love warm weather and reading outdoors, it is wonderful to have the crisp nights and mornings where a small fire in the woodstove has the whole family, including the dog, stopping by the woodstove and warming up. I love the smell of the pine burning. Once Fall arrives, we head to the woods for Saturdays full of wood cutting(even when we don't need to). There is something so soothing about tramping through the woods and picking out trees that have died, cutting them down and splitting them into usable size pieces to feed the woodstove. Maybe it's the return to times that were much simpler but after spending the day outdoors and working up a sweat, it's sure no problem turning in at night and feeling like you have accomplished a day's work when you are a bit achy from the unfamiliar exercise.
The biggest benefit is being able to pile up on the couch next to the woodstove and enjoy that wonderful book while being lulled by the heat of your labors .

Fall is a rough season for my allergies, and it means it's going to get cold soon (ick), but the things I really like are the turning leaves (of course) and the how all the animals get their super soft fuzzy winter coats.

Huh, thats' a difficult question, because I don't really like autumn, but let me think of the things that I can mention.
Well, the colors of red-yellow in the leaves and sometimes I like it's dark in the evening, and I use lot of candles during autumn.
