BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

CONTEST! CONTEST!

As  lovers of Caddyshack, this classic line has been used around our home for years so it seemed very appropriate to use it for that favorite book I’m waiting on.

We are all waiting for certain books that we feel like we can’t live without. For me it is any number of next ones in a favorite series but there are few that give you that WELLLLL -WE'RE WAITING  feeling that we all had while anxiously waiting on the next new Harry Potter or Twilight book. Now those, I could have told you how many days, hours and minutes till they were available.
I was aware several months back that Meyer was releasing two new books in her Host series- The Soul and The Seeker, to be released some time in 2012.  These two are ones that I get that WELLLLL- WE'RE WAITING feeling for. Normally, I’d show the covers but other than Literary Escapism.com’s reference to these books, I’ve seen no other mention of them.
Usually I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to what is coming out or when as I tend to collect 3 to 4 in a series and then read them back to back in a marathon reading session so it really is not a GOTTA HAVE situation.
I buy them and they lay on a shelf till another two or three in the series is released (which usually means years).
What book are you having that WELLLLL- WE'RE WAITING  feeling for that won’t be out for a while yet?
Oh, and if you want the best source I’ve found to what’s coming out and when, check out Literary Escapism’s list of paranormals and fantasy reads that I use.
http://literaryescapism.com/info/releases.html
Oh, and one more thing, did I mention that I’m having a contest  and anyone who tells me what their WELLLLL- WE'RE WAITING  book is will be entered in it? So, be thinking about it. I'll be doing it with Rafflecopter as it has worked out so well.

I'm really excited about Cassandra Clare's CLOCKWORK PRINCE. I fell in love with her Mortal Instruments series and now I'm equally in love with her Infernal Devices. I have to know what happens to WILL AND JEM!

I'm so anxious for Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver, book 2 in her new series. I was hesitant to read Delirium (book 1) but ended up loving it - especially how she left us hanging! I think it's coming out in March, which seems so far away. Sigh.

I love these giveaways! :) Thank you.

There are a few I am really, really waiting on. Insurgent by Veronica Roth, although I am worried about a sophomore slump, and Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins, although it is the last one so I am worried it might disappoint.

The book I'm waiting for is Fair Game by Patricia Briggs. I love both her Mercedes Thompson series and the Alpha & Omega series and this is the newest in the Alpha & Omega series. They are just awesome books with great stories. I never know what to expect next in her books and I absolutely love that. The only bad thing is that I still have about 2 and a half more months to wait and I just might go crazy waiting for this book! ;)

I forgot to say why I'm waiting on the next Mercy Thompson book. I absolutely love this series! It is mostly about werewolves, but it has fae, vampires, and witches. Patricia briggs constantly adds some new element and that just makes me wonder what next! I just wish it didn't take so long! Book 6River Marked was out in March and there isn't even a title for book 7listed yet! brendem7@comcast.net
