I thoroughly enjoyed this book and must confess, the secondary characters almost take over the book. A stuffed armadillo named Billy and his taxidermist, Rosy, will have you alternately giggling and tearing up in this awesome story of family love and ultimately what it takes to make up a family.

Logan never thought of himself as a stalker, but that’s precisely what he did the next day. Stalked Callie with his eyes throughout the Poetry Core. He sat on a wrought-iron bench and watched them. As always, she made him feel like he’d just swum a hundred-meter race. Her hair was long and wavy, dark with bits of gold that beckoned him like the lights at the end of the pool. Her skin was brown and smooth, her cheeks round and flushed. But it was her eyes that got him—that had always gotten him. Not so much their warm color or lovely shape, but their expression. She had this way of looking at him as if she really saw him. My feelings exactly!

This was one of the most entertaining Aladdin re-tellings I've read. Even though I only got a sneak peek at this fabulous story it was enough to send me straight to Amazon to add to my pre-order list. I'm always a sucker for a Jinn storyline and actually didn't realize till I'd read the first chapter that it was an Aladdin re-telling. I'm already in love with the world that  Jessica Khoury built and the combination of the backstory and the adventurous Aladdin has got me counting the hours till release so I can read the rest of the story. I was hooked immediately and when I realized that the sneak peek was over I was berating myself for getting sucked into a story that I knew I  was going to have to wait another five days to finish. If the rest of the story is as good as the beginning, I'll be up all night reading it.
