BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

A gasp escaped as the frigid air blasted her face. Damn, breathing this fucking hurts. Gritting her teeth she wrapped her arms over her chest and advanced outside, closing the door behind her. The frostiness soaked into her, acting as a cleansing breath. With every intake of arctic air her mind cleared and returned to her own wants and desires. She rubbed on her arms to warm them as she went further into the snow. Letting out a deep, satisfied exhale she scrutinized the night sky and the moon.
A click sounded behind her, and her jaw clenched. Why can’t he leave me alone for five minutes? I said I’d be fine, but no, he followed me. God, he’s worse than Hawkeye. Didn’t he bring a date? After the door closed she detected shoes crunching on the snow.
“Damn it, Trent, I said I didn’t need my coat.”
“Ahem.”
She spun a little too fast and slipped on the snow. She hit the ground with a thud. Groaning in embarrassment, she closed her eyes as her chest tightened. That wasn't the smartest thing to do. Good thing black doesn't show dirt.
Cackling emerged in her head, and she wanted to scream.
After a long inhale, she opened her eyes to a pair of classy black dress shoes.
“Crap on toast,” she mumbled.
Josh’s shoes crunched on the light snow as he came closer. God, just when she didn’t want Josh to see her. Why does it feel as if I’m being pinpricked? An unshakeable sense of something being wrong hit her, but even the snow couldn’t get her to move.
“Alexis,” he said softly, as if he was whispering in her ear.
Again his presence soothed her, filling her with warmth tantamount to a small fire.
Alexis leaned forward as Josh squatted in front of her. His fingers brushed against her cheek as he pushed wispy curls behind her ear. His clean scent, a crisp, woodsy smell, surrounded her.

Teresa Crumpton writes dark supernatural thrillers along with poetry, non-fiction and short stories. She started writing when she was young, never thinking one day she'd turn her passion into a career. She started writing her novel in eight-grade, though it's changed over the years. Teresa’s first novel, Her Legacy, is a haunting ghost story with a little rumored family history within the pages.
Teresa obtained two degrees, Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies, and English Lit, hoping to get into law school. In 2004 she married the man of her dreams. As they moved around the country her dreams changed. She once again went back to school, this time obtaining a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and her writing became not only her passion, but also the fulfilment of a promise to her father before he passed.
Teresa Crumpton grew up in Cincinnati and Dallas/Ft. Worth, making her a hybrid midwest and southern girl. She has five siblings (all half or step), which always made for a boisterous Christmas while traveling.
