BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

As a special gift to readers, Switched contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, “The Vittra Attacks,” set in the magical world of the Trylle. The Trylle series continues with Torn, on-sale 2.28.12, and concludes on 4.24.12 with Ascend.
I don't know about you but this the way I like my series. Bam, bam, bam! In 4 months I've got them all in my hands!
Play your cards right and you might win one of the 25 copies of "SWITCHED" that St Martin's Press is going to be giving away. Plus if I get at least 100 comments, I'll throw in another copy of "SWITCHED" so tell all your friends even though you really want to win yourself. Who knows, I might throw in more!

1.3.12
SWITCHED… at birth:
When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right.  She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her.  Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit.  But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth:  Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her home.
Now Wendy’s about to journey to a magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and frightening.  And where she must leave her old life behind to discover who she’s meant to become…

2.28.12

Torn - the second book in the Trylle Trilogy...

Wendy thought she finally understood who she was and what she wanted, but everything changes when the rival Vittra come after her.

She's caught between two worlds, torn between love and duty, and she must decide what life she is going to lead.

4.24.12
Having assumed her rightful place as the Trylle Queen, Wendy Everly must save everyone she loves—and the kingdom she’s fought so hard for—from her cruel Vittra rivals.  Oren’s immortality renders him nearly impossible to defeat, and if he can’t have Wendy’s power for his own, he’s determined to destroy her and her friends…including Finn and Loki.  As Wendy faces her toughest enemy yet, she’s also forced to make the ultimate choice—who to love for the rest of her life.  Everything has been leading up to this moment, and now it’s all coming to a finish.  Don’t miss the final chapter in the Trylle trilogy, an epic finale that will leave you breathless!

As a special gift to readers, this book contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, “Ever After,” set in the magical world of the Trylle.

Sorry, I forgot to answer the question. I think I would like to fly. Easier mode of transportation and hopefully it would help me get over that fear.

If I were a changeling, I would be a clairvoyant. Knowledge is power :)

The first cover totally reminds me of the poppy scene in Wizard of Oz--in a good way.

Whoops forgot to answer the question. I would love to fly (just like a few other people) because I would save money because I wouldn't need to buy gas. :)

As a special power I'd want to be able to manipulate time. I'm constantly putting things off until far too late so that would be the perfect power for me! haha.
