The vampire in me was closer to the surface . . .
Evernight Academy: an exclusive boarding school for the most beautiful, dangerous students of all - vampires. Bianca, born to two vampires, has always been told her destiny is to become one of them.
But Bianca fell in love with Lucas - a vampire hunter sworn to destroy her kind. They were torn apart when his true identity was revealed, forcing him to flee the school.
Although they may be separated, Bianca and Lucas will not give each other up. She will risk anything for the chance to see him again, even if it means coming face-to-face with the vampire hunters of Black Cross - or deceiving the powerful vampires of Evernight. Bianca's secrets will force her to live a life of lies.
Yet Bianca isn't the only one keeping secrets. When Evernight is attacked by an evil force that seems to target her, she discovers the truth she thought she knew is only the beginning. . . .
Bianca will risk everything to be with Lucas.
After escaping from Evernight Academy, the vampire boarding school where they met, Bianca and Lucas take refuge with Black Cross, a fanatical group of vampire hunters. Bianca must hide her supernatural heritage or risk certain death at their hands. But when Black Cross captures her friend - the vampire Balthazar - hiding is no longer an option.
Soon, Bianca and Lucas are on the run again, pursued not only by Black Cross, but by the powerful leaders of Evernight. Yet no matter how far they travel, Bianca can't escape her destiny.
Bianca has always believed their love could survive anything . . . but can it survive what's to come?
I fell in love with this series last summer after winning a copy from a fellow blogger but never got around to reading the next two books in the series. When I saw she was to be at BittenByBooks on Tuesday, I went about remedying that
ordered the next two in the series. My intentions are to leave them on my desk rather than putting them in the PILE as they could disappear again.
If you would like to see what I thought about the first book in the series
check here for my "Evernight" review!
I love books--- paranormal, urban fantasy, romance of any kind, historical fiction, YA, and many others. Political or self help are about the only kind I don't pick up.
BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.
NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

I really like her series. Looking forward to the new one.
This looks like a great series. It has some similarities to the Vampire Academy.
I just finished Afterlife and absolutely loved it. What a fantastic series.
I haven't read any of these, but they sound like they're really good!
This is a great series :)
I've read this entire series. It changes as the books move forward so you'll see a lot of character growth and development, especially in Bianca.
You're lucky that you don't have to wait for the books to come out!

Cool you like this series as much as I do. I recently finished Afterlife and was sad that it ended. I enjoy Claudia Gray's writing style and hope she'll publish more books soon!
I've read this whole series and really like Claudia Gray. Not exactly sure how i feel about the last book. But still a good series.
