I'm a huge baseball fan so this book was perfect for me. Coming from the same small town that San Francisco Giants number one pitcher, Madison Bumgarner grew up in, we follow SF from opening day till the completion of the World Series. They have been winners of that coveted ring three times in the last five years. I loved getting to peek behind the curtain and see some of what goes on between an agent and a top ceded ball player. The writing of Vanessa Kelly and Randy Sykes is seamless and the combination of the sexy romance and the cutthroat business world meshes wonderfully. The male characters are bigger than life and the romance is smoking hot!
I was hooked from page one and pretty much read straight through. The best thing was discovering that there are five earlier books that I now get to indulge in.
