NEWS FROM JENNA BLACK & A FREE READ

It's Official

People like the new format for my newsletter! I'd like to thank everyone for all of your feedback. I've made a few little tweaks to (I hope) improve the readability, but I'm sure there will always be some issues here and there because I can't check the format on every email platform out there. If you're having trouble with the email, try clicking on the link to view the newsletter as a web page; that might help.

In the next day or two, I'm going to discontinue my old Yahoo Group and shift entirely to this new newsletter format. Hopefully, everyone will remain happy with all the bells and whistles!

Today's featured foreign cover is ... The UK version of The Devil's Due. For the time being at least, all the foreign covers I feature will be for books in the Morgan Kingsley series. That's the series I have the most foreign art for. (I have foreign covers for Glimmerglass, but they have all so far used the same art that was used in the US, so they're not as exciting, IMHO.)

What's New

The most exciting news (to me, at least) is that I've been given permission to show everyone the cover art for the next Nikki Glass book, Deadly Descendant. (Coming April 24, 2012.) You may have already seen the cover reveal on Twitter or on my webpage, but in case you haven't, here it is in all its sexy glory:
Personally, I wouldn't want to wear that outfit out in the snow, but that's just me. (Though maybe if I looked like this cover model, I wouldn't mind so much!) Sympathetic chill aside, I find this cover very striking and I love it. I hope you will, too.

In other news, I've just learn that we've sold audio rights to both Dark Descendant and Deadly Descendant. The books will be narrated by Sophie Eastlake, who also narrated Thea Harrison's Elder Races series. I don't know when these audio editions will become available, but I'll be sure to let you know when I get any updated news.

My publisher for the Nikki Glass books, Pocket Books, did a special promotional deal for New York Comic Con, lowering the price of the digital edition of Dark Descendant to $3.99. Comic Con is over now, but the special price will remain in effect until November 14. If you like reading ebooks and haven't tried Dark Descendant yet now would be the time to try it! (The reduced price version should be available across formats.)
