BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

Author: Alison L. Perry
Genre: Young Adult Paranormal
Release Date: Jan 9, 2017
Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
She’s not like the others…
Sixteen-year-old Sadie is a vampire who faints at the sight of blood, trips over her own feet, and can only, at best, be called cute.
As the imperfect middle child in a perfect vampire family, she struggles to fit into a world where she is different from everyone else.
Forced to follow her parents’ wishes by attending University, the local finishing school for graceful young vampires, she soon becomes the laughingstock of her oh-so-perfect class. But when the most popular boy on campus comes to her rescue and calls her “beautiful,” Sadie becomes the target of a group of mean girls who rule the school.
Plagued by a series of embarrassing failures, Sadie is kicked out of University and must face reality: she doesn’t belong with vampires. And when a mysterious elder vampire seeks her out with vague and cryptic conversation, she’s even more convinced that something is amiss.
With no other acceptable choice for her future, Sadie must convince her traditional vampire parents to let her do something unheard of for vampires her age. But questions continue to plague her. Is she truly a vampire? Or is she something else?
excerpt
Finally, he lessened the pressure on my lips, and we both gulped for air. Deep, dragging breaths. My heart pounded, and I could feel his own pulse racing along with it. Somehow, my legs had become entwined with his, and I was lying down, his body heavy over mine. I stared up into his eyes, the sea green threatening to sweep me away again, and he smiled. With his thumb, he slowly traced my bottom lip and I gently bit it.

“Do you still question if I think you’re attractive?”

I laughed. I couldn’t help it. I’d just experienced my first kiss with the most improbable person in the world, yet we fit. It felt natural, comfortable, and exciting all at the same time. The negative voice inside me was quiet. Even she couldn’t argue with his question.

Born and raised in Texas, she refuses to live anywhere else, currently residing in the suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth with her husband, two daughters, and two spoiled rotten dogs. She is a football enthusiast, music lover, Starbucks addict, office supply junkie, and spends most of her time daydreaming, writing, and perfecting the art of sarcasm. After spending eighteen years surviving the corporate world, she left its security to chase her dream of writing. Her stories range from the shadows of the supernatural world to the beaches of Anytown, U.S.A., and often center around strong female characters.
