BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

Young Adult Fiction

The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps– it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future. Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

A success in the making: Pre-empted by Summit Entertainment (producers of Twilight) for feature film, with foreign rights sold in more than a dozen countries, Tempest, on sale January 17, is the first book in the buzzed about Tempest series by Julie Cross.

“Julie Cross's thrilling debut is brimming with excitement, romance, and intrigue. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!” —Beth Revis, New York Times bestselling author of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.

I'd want to go to the United States - let's say San Diego, in the future. I'd love to see how different we are in 100 years, since when you compare 2012 with 1912 there is such a huge difference, I'm expecting amazing things.

Hmm if I were a time traveller I would so go back in time and warn myself before I did embarassing stuff :) If that doesn't count I have to say that I would time travel back to the 16th century somewhere where there are castles! Thanks for the giveaway!

I would probably go back to the 19th century, where romance was still alive and there were ladies and gentleman. Sigh.

Btw, I think the cover of this novel is just so gorgeous!

I'd probably go to the 20's. I've always loved learning about that time. It was like the beginning of how society is like today...sort of. And I'd also go to before that. Like 1899-1900. I loved that time as well. Like how Anna Godberson portrayed it in the Luxe series, I absolutely LOVED it. I can't wait to read her series about the 20's. I think Anna and I would have a lot in common...lol
Thanks for the giveaway!! :D

There are so many possibilities! I find myself wondering what my grandparents and parents were at my age, so I'd go back to a range of dates from the 1920s- 1970s.

This is an awesome giveaway! I would love to win this book- I have heard such great things about it and definitely want to read it. If I could time travel to any time I would probably go to the future to see what life is like in about 50 years. It might help me prepare for that time period!
