BOOKS AND BLOGGING PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is defined as a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought. Well, my theory is if I can add at least 10 new books to my Wishlist and move at least 5 older Wishlist selections to my TBR list every month, then life is a ice cream sundae. And if I can find those 10 books from at least 5 new blogs each month then that's the cherry on top.

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!

NEW VISITORS AND OLD- WELCOME!
Well, I've made it almost 5 years now, so for better or worse, I continue on. I tend to blog in spurts as the urge to be creative erupts. As I don't have an artistic bone in my body, you will see very few changes in the layouts. Hey, I'm a reader not an artist like so many of the awesome bloggers I follow. I know you don't always have the time but if you stopped and looked, take a half a minute and say your piece. Recommend a book that you have enjoyed or hated for that matter. Thank you to all who visit.
Oh, and I moved my Google Friend Connect info and share this buttons to the top, as without our friends, who are we?

The Land of Painted Caves- Read the first three chapters!

Can't wait 45 more days to the release of the final book in this fascinating series? Random books is offering the first three chapters free. Go here if you want a taste of what's to come.

While I've been dancing around since summer in anticipation of this book,  you'd think I jump at this offer, but I'm waiting as I want to savior every minute of this book. If I read three chapters, I'm just going to be pissed that I have to wait 45 more days. That's six more weeks!!

I've got a copy coming via the man in brown  and I set aside the whole day (I'm telling you   "DO NOT LET IT SNOW THAT DAY" ) Please, no snow !
I don't want any excuse for hubby not to work, as for some reason he thinks I just want to cook for him and talk to him when he stays at home.

The highly anticipated sixth book of Jean Auel’s Earth’s Children® series, The Land of Painted Caves, is the culmination fans have been waiting for. Continuing the story of Ayla and Jondalar, Auel combines her brilliant narrative skills and appealing characters with a remarkable re-creation of the way life was lived more than 25,000 years ago.
The Land of Painted Caves is an exquisite achievement by one of the world’s most beloved authors.
Three decades in the telling. The epic journey that began with The Clan of The Cave Bear continues as Ayla becomes the woman she was meant to be.

30 years ago when Sydney recommended "The Clan of the Cave Bears", I wasn't sure that I'd enjoy it. Just didn't seem like my cup of tea. Now after probably 5 or 6 rereads, I can honestly say, if I had missed reading this book, it would have been tragic. Thank you, Sydney! I'm so glad that I took this and other recommendations over the years.

Information about this is from Random's website.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the release of this book. Although I have pre-ordered it, it can't get here soon enough for me. Oh, and I did read the first three chapters and you're right, the wait is going to be even worse now! :-)
